Original Dance

Alessia Aureli & Andrea Vaturi

Another Fusar Poli costume on the ice again... a perfect fit for the classy & elegant Quickstep/Foxtrot of Alessia and Andrea. Following the footsteps of their coach, they've performed a brilliant routine which might jump straight out of Fred Astaire movie. A great program for my taste, with good steps and choreography... they gained a lot of speed since last season, and the steps are in there too. She's blossoming in a really lovely lady on the ice, and I can't resist Andrea's contagious smile... I sooo wish they'll do well this season!

Gloria Agogliati & Fabrizio Pedrazzini

Let's start with the things I like... the program is funny, and they really put a lot of expression in it... Fabri is a real diva! Instead of something too ballroomish they went for the fast and funny charleston, and it is not bad at all.. They have good lines, and flowing style and some sparkling personalities. I am still surprised of how well they are working together. This is a truly enjoyable program!
Some things I'm not too fond of.... well, the costumes are not really great... Fabri could be dancing anything in that basic costume( and I don't like all the black), and Gloria, even if perfectly in theme, well, in my photos it doesn't seem so bad, but "live" that silver thing really didn't do anything for her gorgeous figure. A rethink could be a good idea - and the black rose on the side of the head is just horrible.
Also: they are a great show, but they do more things with their expressions, arms and upper bodies than what they do with their feet... more "substance" could fit in the choreography.

Federica Faiella & Massimo Scali

I'll start nitpicking with the costumes... the suit Massimo is wearing is horrible!!! That cream colour is bad enough in itself without the need to comment on the purple shirt underneath (yuk!), and they've managed to add a disastrous cut which doesn't do much for Massi's line... On the other hand, I really like Federica's dress. She's becoming every year more beautiful. The program is good, with great choreography and an amazing SLSS all on one foot... This time Fede messed up a set of twizzles (only one!), but otherwise everything's brilliant.Their expressions are very good, they are portraying beautifully the theme. The only thing I didn't really like was the central music, but they told me and my friends that they had already planned to change it, only there wasn't enough time before the competition... So I'll wait to hear the new music!
